What a year it has been! People ask where I get my enthusiasm and positive outlook. It comes from waking up each morning knowing God has a bigger purpose for me than I can ever imagine. It comes from knowing that in the darkest times, He’s always been there. You only get so many second chances to truly live your life … so do/be/live/love what makes you happy / sets your soul on fire / makes you feel alive. Live a life full of adventure, stories, love, and laughter! It’s all about choices my friends!
From March 25, 2016:
Other than the day my beautiful girl came into this world, I don’t think I’ve ever cried so many tears of joy. I’ve spent the last two weeks being off FB, which isn’t a bad thing, and it has been time well spent with family and in a state of “RE” – REst, REcuperation, REjuvination, REpurpose.
I received the best news ever this morning. My results from Monday’s procedure came back benign. This is the first time EVERYTHING removed came back benign and the first time in 6 years that there was NO signs of cancer in the polyps.
There are no words to express the love and gratitude for all the love, support, prayers, texts, messages, hand holding (and hair holding as I puked my brains out Sunday and Monday), FB posts (I have the best little sister in the world), and words of comfort. I am truly the most blessed person in the world. God is great!
With the right hat (thank you Snail Creek Hat Co.), kimono (thanks @ofamuse ), cold medicine, custom hat feather from @flyingsrcustomworks, jewelry, you too can feel like wonder woman. Off to see what kind of trouble … eh hum … I mean good … I can get into!
Thanks to @kammw97 for this little gem. I had a long overdue pow-wow with @livinlifephoto and @the_pearl_antler last night and this made me think of them. I am reminded how blessed I am to be surrounded by such remarkable, strong, independent, go-get ’em women who defy the odds, buck public opinion, and are writing their own story and paving the path of their future not realizing how much they inspire others. Keep on keepin’ on!
I’ve often been told I’ve lived a life wearing rose colored glasses … I’d rather be known for that then being mean, rude, and unkind. Negative attracts negative … meaning, you’ll only see the bad in people, situations, etc. and those are the people you’ll surround yourself with. However, when you equip yourself with faith, good friends, and trust that the difficult place in the journey is only temporary, it makes it all bearable. Just remember, at some point in life, you’ll ALWAYS reap what you’ve sowed. So, when you’re having a bad day, continue to sow kindness, peace, and love in other’s lives … and see what happens!
“Some women are lost in the fire. Some women are built from it.” It’s no secret the last year has been full of everything from blessings to fires and one of the biggest doors opening was the opportunity to work with an amazing group of women who support my writing, my craziness, my art. It’s proof you’re never too old to step up and out of your comfort zone and try new things and have fun. I’m honored and excited to announce that I have the privilege to work as a brand ambassador for the one and only @lhtxbyleighkhajovsky (LHTX clothing line)! I absolutely adore the visionary behind the label, but her sense of humor and go get ’em attitude has inspired and motivated me on more than one 2 a.m. occasion! Don’t ever let anyone tell you there’s anything you can’t do! Here’s to an awesome 2017!
