If You’re Happy and You Know It…

Real life truth right here: you’ll never BE happy with anyone until you’re happy with yourself. Able to spend time by yourself. Able to be alone. Able to look in the mirror, with all your flaws, stretch marks, scars (physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual ), and speak kindly to yourself. You’ll never be happy until you finally realize17264993_10101407017178581_6793982253575726291_n that happiness is not a life void of trials and tribulations but one that is full of faith, grace, and choice. It is only when you allow healing to occur and gratitude to reign that you will be truly happy and will attract like minded people into your life. That’s when you can be with someone who feeds your happiness and helps it grow.

I’m NOT the only hell my Momma ever raised!

Today’s lunch time finds. My Momma’s and my grandmother’s belts. The ladies in my family were country before country was cool. While my grandmother was “just” a cowboy/rancher’s sweetheart and sweetheart of the rodeo, at some point, I have no doubt my Momma was a real honky tonk angel. I’m thinking a cuff that says, “I’m NOT the only hell my Momma ever raised. ”

“Some women are lost in the fire…”

“Some women are lost in the fire. Some women are built from it.” It’s no secret the last year has been full of everything from blessings to fires and one of the biggest doors opening was the opportunity to work with an amazing group of women who support my writing, my craziness, my art. It’s proof you’re never too old to step up and out of your comfort zone and try new things and have fun. I’m honored and excited to announce that I have the privilege to work as a brand ambassador for the one and only @lhtxbyleighkhajovsky (LHTX clothing line)! I absolutely adore the visionary17203251_10101401947413431_712219845595775147_n behind the label, but her sense of humor and go get ’em attitude has inspired and motivated me on more than one 2 a.m. occasion!
